On July 11, 2019 at about 9:20 am, the Kern County Sheriff's Office received a call about a deceased female victim suffering from obvious blunt force traumatic injuries at a residence in the 300 block of Sycamore Drive in Oildale. Deputies responded and located the victim, 57-year-old Lidia Robertson, deceased. Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and assumed the investigation. The victim's husband, 46-year-old Nathaniel Robertson, was identified as a suspect in the case and an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest; charging him with murder.
On July 12, 2019 at about 8:00 am, Nathaniel Robertson was located near Riverview Park in Oildale. He was taken into custody by deputies without incident. Nathaniel will be booked into the Kern County Jail pending court proceedings.
