As we prepare for the coming storm, please be mindful of your surroundings and do not place yourself in dangerous situations. If you see a drain blockage, and it is safe to do so, please help by removing the blockage. Also, garbage collections will resume on Monday, so please bring in any trash and/or cans.
Sandbags are available at the City Maintenance Yard (495 N. 4th Street) for self fill, and 44512 W. Pleasant Ridge in Hammond pre-filled.
A storm shelter is open at Hammond Westside Montessori School (2600 Westpark Ave.). Residents should bring all necessary toiletries, medications, baby supplies, and clothing to ride out the storm.
