Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 7:15PM. Flash Flood Warning in effect until 10:15PM. High winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning possible. Dangerous flooding is occurring. Seek shelter and do not drive through flooded roads.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
* Until 1015 PM EDT.
* At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across portions of the warned area. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
* Until 715 PM EDT.
* At 614 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Paoli to Delaware City, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors
immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
