The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Central Washington County in north central Maryland... Northeastern Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia...

* Until 430 AM EDT.

* At 1226 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. An additional one to two inches of rain is expected during the next hour or two. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Martinsburg, Williamsport, Berkeley, Falling Waters and Hedgesville.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BERKELEY, WV ... WASHINGTON, MD

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
