The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Southeastern Curry County in east central New Mexico...
* Until 845 AM MDT
* At 642 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain associated with slow moving thunderstorms between Saint Vrain, Clovis and the Texas border. Rainfall amounts between one and two and one half inches will be common with these storms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clovis, Saint Vrain, Cannon Air Force Base, Ranchvale and Portair.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CURRY, NM
Instructions:
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
