Suspect arrested for court order violation.

On July 4, 2019 at approximately 6:40 pm, a suspect identified as Jose Sicairos (52 years old from Simi Valley) was arrested for violation of a court order and resisting arrest.

Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the 2900 block of Encina Lane for a court order violation in progress. The reporting party stated her ex-boyfriend was on the premises and refused to leave in violation of the restraining order. Upon arrival, the suspect appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and had armed himself with a large hook. The officers ordered the suspect numerous times to drop the weapon and get on the ground. The suspect refused to comply with the officers’ orders and a long-range impact weapon was used. The suspect was struck several times with the rubber projectiles with no effect. An officer deployed a taser, which was also ineffective. An additional officer deployed a second taser, which incapacitated the suspect and he was subsequently placed in handcuffs.

The suspect was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries sustained from the less lethal weapons. The suspect was then booked into the Ventura County Main Jail for violation of a court order and resisting arrest.
