Flash Flood Warning

Flash Flood Warning until 9:45PM. Dangerous flooding is possible. Do not drive through flooded roads.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...South central Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania... East central Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania...Southwestern Philadelphia County in southeastern Pennsylvania...Northeastern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 549 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly in the areas of heaviest rain.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...Philadelphia, Yeadon, Narberth, East Lansdowne, Morris Park,
Germantown, Bryn Mawr, Trout Lake, Radnor Township, Broomall, Newtown Square, Roxborough, Drexel Hill, Paoli, King Of Prussia, Darby, Lansdowne, Clifton Heights, West Conshohocken and Millbourne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
