The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of June 23 through June 29, 2019.        
 
June 23, 2019

• Weapons Arrest: Deputies were patrolling the area of Huntington Drive and Las Lomas Drive, when they stopped an adult male on a bicycle for a traffic violation. During a routine pat down search, the suspect was found to be in possession of a dagger and was arrested.      

• An Attempt Grand Theft Auto was reported at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). The victim parked and secured his 1998 Honda Civic at approximately 5:25 p.m.  When he returned approximately ten minutes later, he found his vehicle unlocked. When he attempted to start his vehicle, he noticed the ignition appeared to have been damaged, enabling him from being able to start the vehicle. The investigation is on-going.           

• A Petty Theft was reported in the 1500 block of 1^st Street.  Between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m., someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a purse and an air compressor.  The loss was estimated at approximately $165.

• Indecent Exposure Arrest:  At approximately 1:50 a.m., deputies responded to 1050 Hunting Drive (Sonic Burgers) regarding an adult male with his pants down and banging on the drive-up menu screen. Upon arrival, deputies contacted an adult male who matched the description in the call and detained him. After further investigation, the male was arrested for indecent exposure. 

• Possession of an Altered Firearm Arrest: Deputies initiated a traffic stop at Mountain Avenue and Shrode Avenue, regarding a traffic infraction. The driver was detained when he was found to be an unlicensed driver.  During the detention, the suspect was found to be on felony probation and a probation compliance check was conducted. During the search, a black air-soft handgun was located in a body armor vest, and the orange tip had been removed. Additionally, a small amount of methamphetamine was recovered as well. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested for possession of an altered airsoft gun, and possession of methamphetamine.

• Narcotics Arrest:  Deputies were patrolling the area of Duarte Road and Mountain Avenue, when, when they stopped an adult female on a bicycle for a traffic violation.  Deputies immediately saw a hypodermic syringe protruding from the suspect’s purse and detained her pending a narcotics investigation. After further investigation, coupled with the suspect admitting to the possession of the syringe and the methamphetamine inside it, she was arrested.
