The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Fayette County in central Ohio... Western Pickaway County in central Ohio... Southeastern Madison County in central Ohio...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 459 PM EDT, radar indicated that thunderstorms had produced heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Heavy rain continues to fall with another 1 to 2 inches possible. Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Sterling, Williamsport, New Holland, Deer Creek Lake, Chenoweth, Madison Mills, Derby and Pancoastburg.

* AFFECTED AREAS: FAYETTE, OH ... PICKAWAY, OH ... MADISON, OH

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
