On Sunday, 06/30/2019, at approximately 12:50 PM, there was a drive-by shooting at Andoil gas station, located at 5835 Thornton Avenue (intersection of Thornton Avenue and Mayhews Landing Road). Surveillance footage in the surrounding area shows that there were multiple witnesses to the incident, however, they left prior to police arrival and did not contact the Newark Police Department.
