The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Washtenaw County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 534 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Whitmore Lake, or 7 miles north of Ann Arbor, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near... Salem around 540 PM EDT. Ann Arbor and Dixboro around 545 PM EDT. Ypsilanti around 555 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Barton Hills.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WASHTENAW, MI

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
