Deputies arrest Denise Boyd and Hobart Martin both residents Rancho Cucamonga for Vandalism Defacing Property

LOCATION: Hellman Avenue / 7th Street

SUSPECT: Denise Rochelle Boyd, 54-years-old from Rancho Cucamonga
Hobart Keith Martin, 53-years-old from Rancho Cucamonga

SUMMARY:

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, at approximately 1:17 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call of vandalism. The victim parked her vehicle in an industrial parking lot. When she returned to her vehicle, she saw a male and female suspect taking parts from her vehicle. After confronting the suspects, they took their tools and left in a hurry. The victim wrote down the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle. The suspects had removed the header to the engine and were in the process of removing the catalytic converter. The damage to the victim’s vehicle was estimated at over $1,000.

Through investigation, the female suspect was identified as Denise Rochelle Boyd was located at her residence in the 9200 block of Milliken Avenue. Boyd was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center and was held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

On Monday, July 1, 2019, deputies learned the identity of the male suspect as Hobart Keith Martin. Martin was located at his residence in the 9300 block of Hellman Avenue. He was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
