Route 35 is closed to traffic between Broad St. and Greenwood St. Multiple Primary Utility Lines Down in area. Avoid this area.

The Town of Yorktown Police Department advises motorists that Route 35 is closed at Greenwood St. to Southbound traffic and Broad St. to Northbound traffic.  Mulitple Primary Utility Lines are downed in the area.

NYSEG is responding to the area to make repairs.  2,000 residents are without power at this time.  NYSEG has just listed a 5:30 pm ETA for restoration on their website (  Please email NYSEG for further information regarding restoration.

All traffic signals in the Yorktown Heights area are inoperable at this time.  Please remember to treat all intersections with inoperable traffic signals as FOUR WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS.  Avoid the heights area if at all possible.  Stay away from and treat all downed utility lines as live.  Electric current can travel for miles.  Guardrails and street signs could be energized by electric current travelling.
