On 06/12/2019, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Narcotic Street Team, concluded a two month long narcotic investigation into the narcotic trafficking activities of Santa Paula resident Gina Smith by executing a search warrant on her person, vehicle, and residence. The West County Street Team was assisted by the Ventura County Combined Agency Team (VCAT).
 
On 6/12/2019, narcotic detectives contacted and detained Smith during a traffic stop near her residence. A search warrant was then executed at her residence located in the 17000 block of South Mountain Road near Santa Paula. As a result of searching her residence and vehicles, detectives seized multiple ounces of cocaine and methamphetamine possessed for sales, along with paraphernalia indicative of narcotic sales, and a shotgun.
 
Smith was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for numerous narcotic violations. Her bail was set at $50,000, which she posted. Smith’s next scheduled court appearance is pending.
 
The West County Street Team is comprised of Narcotic Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the Oxnard Police Department, and the Port Hueneme Police Department.
