Sexual Assault Suspect Arrest

Turlock Police Officers arrested Jesse Esquire III, a 38 year old male, for numerous charges including sexual assault, false imprisonment, and assault with a deadly weapon. Police responded to the 1500 block of N. Palm at about 4:15 p.m. after being notified by the victim that she had escaped from a nearby apartment where she had been held against her will for several hours. Upon arrival at the location, officers ensured that the victim was safe and provided for her care and wellbeing. The victim was able to provide officers with the name of the suspect and his last known location. She advised officers that Mr. Esquire was in possession of a handgun and under the influence of narcotics. Due to the nature of the call, and the information provided to police by the victim, the Turlock Police Department Critical Response Team was activated.

While awaiting the arrival of the Critical Response Team, officers on scene were able to make contact with Mr. Esquire who was inside his residence but refusing to exit. After a short period of time, Mr. Esquire agreed to exit his residence where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Mr. Esquire was booked into Stanislaus County Jail for sexual assault, false imprisonment, domestic battery, criminal threats, and assault with a deadly weapon.

“Turlock Police Department used all available resources including the Critical Response Team, Patrol Officers, Detectives, supervisors and Command Staff to protect not only the victim in this case, but the surrounding community members as well. The utilization of an allied agency’s crucial piece of equipment during this incident was instrumental in safely resolving this situation” said Captain Miguel Pacheco.
