The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Stoddard County in southeastern Missouri...
* Until 400 PM CDT Thursday.
* At 957 AM CDT, the Stoddard County Sheriff reported that numerous roads remain under water across the county, including Highway J between Puxico and Bloomfield. Although the heavy rains have ended flood waters may still be increasing over portions of the county.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dexter, Bernie, Bloomfield, Advance, Puxico, Essex, Bell City, Dudley, Baker and Penermon.
* AFFECTED AREAS: STODDARD, MO
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
