DETAILS: Ptl. S. On June 5th, the driver/owner of the Nissan, Tarajah Autry, requested that the towing company perform a complete inventory of the belongings in her vehicle. Towing company staff obliged and located a new $600 chain saw, a new Dyson vacuum cleaner, and other items still in their original unopened packaging in the back trunk. Also found were several Lowes store receipts for returns made without sales receipts in which gift cards were issued. The chain saw and vacuum cleaner had shipping tags indicating that they were from the Lowes located in West Windsor. Investigation determined that those same items had been shoplifted from the store approximately 30 minutes before Autry’s car was stopped by the Montgomery Police Dept. Det. Jelinski continued the investigation and was able to determine that both Autry and her passenger, Mercedes Holmes, had in fact shoplifted the merchandise from the Lowes. They were both charged with shoplifting and have future dates pending at Mercer County Superior Court.

Obstruction of Justice
Service of Warrants
DATE & TIME OCCURRED: 6/08/19 at 8:44 PM
LOCATION OCCURRED: Nassau Park Retail Center
WHO: (ARRESTED, INJURED, DRIVER, VICTIM, OTHER)
Arrested: Shanequa N. Wilson, Black female, 27 years old
Resident of Trenton, NJ 08611
OFFICERS: Ptl. P. Buchanan #5109
Sgt. L. Brodowski #479
Ptl. A. Pollini #599
DETAILS: While on patrol of the Nassau Park Retail Center, Ptl. Buchanan observed a lone vehicle parked in parking lot of the Sam’s Club that has been closed since January of 2018. While investigating the suspicious vehicle that had dark tinted windows, it was found that the registered owner, Shanequa Wilson, had active warrants for her arrest from both Trenton and Hamilton. A security officer in a company vehicle, providing security services to Sam’s Club, was parked nearby and intently observing what was going on. Ptl. Buchanan asked the security officer, later determined to be Wilson, about the ownership of the car. She was deceptive with her answer and provided a false name to Ptl. Buchanan. She also became agitated when he started asking her more questions which culminated in her yelling and cursing at Ptl. Buchanan as she drove away. Because the security officer appeared to be Wilson from her Motor Vehicle Commission photo, Ptl. Buchanan initiated a stop on the security vehicle since she had a suspended driver’s license. Sgt. Brodowski assisted during the stop, but Wilson refused to provide identification and was uncooperative. When officers went to arrest Wilson she resisted their attempts to handcuff her and kept trying to get back into the driver’s seat of her security vehicle. Ptl. Pollini arrived on scene to assist with the arrest and they were able to handcuff Wilson, but not before she scratched Ptl. Pollini’s forearm with her nails causing bleeding, and she also caused a cut to Sgt. Brodowski’s thumb. Wilson was processed at WWPD Headquarters and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.
