Police Seek the public's help in locating man with dementia
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Ernest Palmer, 56, of Newark, who was reported missing today from the 200 block of Chadwick Avenue.
Mr. Palmer, who suffers from dementia, was last seen between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. He is described as 5’7” tall and 150 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, a gray beard and a bald head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers. Mr. Palmer also has two hospital bands on his wrists.
While police are actively searching for Mr. Palmer, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him and returning him to his family.
Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Ernest Palmer to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
