Deputies from the Yucaipa Multiple Enforcement Team arrest 2 suspects; one for failure to register as a sex offender

SUMMARY:
On Friday, June 21, 2019, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Yucaipa Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) was patrolling around the Sail Drug Shopping Center in response to citizen concerns about possible drug activity at the location. Deputies contacted the occupants of a vehicle parked nearby and immediately recognized the male as Harold Ketchum, a convicted sex offender wanted for failing to register as required and wanted for possessing stolen property. Ketchum was featured as a wanted person on the Yucaipa Police Department's social media platforms on June 6, 2019. The female occupant of the vehicle was identified as Triana Ashton.
During their investigation, deputies searched the vehicle and located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. Ketchum is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to prior criminal convictions.
Ketchum was arrested on multiple felony charges and was booked at Central Detention Center with bail set at $110,000. Ashton was arrested on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia. She was booked at Central Detention Center and later cite released.
