Deputies arrest Kenneth Lindsey for Unlawful Starting of a Fire Resulting in Damage

INCIDENT: PC 452 - Unlawful Starting of a Fire Resulting in Property Damage
LOCATION: 34000 block of Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Kenneth Lindsey, age 51 a transient
VICTIM: Vacant Business, Formerly a Realty Office
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 23rd, at approximately 3:41 am, deputies and Cal Fire personnel responded to a reported fire at a vacant realty office located at 34556 Yucaipa Blvd. Deputies discovered a fire in the brush adjacent to the building. The building also caught fire and responding Cal Fire personnel extinguished the blaze.
As deputies initially arrived, they located Kenneth Lindsey outside the building gathering belongings. Investigation revealed that Lindsey started a warming fire that spread into brush and, ultimately, to the building.
Lindsey was arrested for unlawfully starting a fire that resulted in property damage and was booked at West Valley Detention Center. He is being held on $25,000 bail.
