LOCATION: Intersection @ University Way and Temple Ave.
Officers are currently investigation a solo traffic collision at the above intersection in which an elderly male struck a light pole causing his vehicle to catch fire. The driver was removed from the vehicle by an unidentified passerby and moved to safety. Los Angeles County Paramedics arrived and performed life-saving measures on the driver before air lifting him to a local hospital in serious condition.
The intersection will be closed for several hours. Please use alternate route and avoid the area.
