Construction continues for the Lafayette Street Sewer Line Replacement Project. The current construction schedule is detailed below:
Construction Schedule
Daily scheduled work will occur Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. with pavement work completion targeted by July 16, 2019. One Northbound lane of Lafayette Street will remain closed at the end of each day and the Southbound lanes will reopen at the end of each day.
What to Expect
Week of June 24, 2019
- Daily scheduled work will occur Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Lane Closures – Northbound Lane 1 and Southbound 1 of Lafayette Street.
- The contractor will complete saw cutting demolition, form and pour concrete curb.
- One Northbound lane of Lafayette Street will remain closed at the end of each day and the Southbound lanes will reopen at the end of each day.
Week of July 1, 2019 - No work scheduled for July 4
- Daily scheduled work will occur Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The contractor will complete grinding and pavement work.
- Lane Closures – Northbound Lane 1 and Southbound 1 of Lafayette Street.
- One Northbound lane of Lafayette Street will remain closed at the end of each day and the Southbound lanes will reopen at the end of each day.
Week of July 8, 2019
- Daily scheduled work will occur Monday - Friday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The contractor will slurry seal, stripe and adjust manholes to grade.
- Lane Closures – Northbound Lane 1 and Southbound 1 of Lafayette Street.
- One Northbound lane of Lafayette Street will remain closed at the end of each day and the Southbound lanes will reopen at the end of each day.
