Motorcycle Crash

Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 6-22-2019 at 11:29pm his office handled a personal injury accident in the 15000 block of Quaker Street in Newburg Township. Deputies arrived on scene and found Jeremy Tomlinson 37 years of age from Sturgis, Michigan had walked to a near by house for assistance after the crash. The investigation shows that Tomlinson was traveling west on Quaker Street and struck a raccoon causing him to crash on the roadway. Tomlinson was transported to Three Rivers Hospital for his injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash but Tomlinson was not wearing a helmet. Cass County Sheriffs Office was assisted by Newberg Township Fire and Ambulance.
