Annual Corte Madera-Larkspur Fourth of July Parade and Festival - Thursday, July 4, 2019

Corte Madera and Larkspur will once again be celebrating the Fourth of July with a parade and arts & crafts festival at Corte Madera Town Park. We hope the following information on the day’s festivities will aid our residents and those coming to join the celebration.

PARADE: The route will be the same as in previous years. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. from Redwood High School in Larkspur and proceed west on Doherty Drive. It turns south on Magnolia Avenue to Corte Madera Avenue, then east onto Redwood Avenue, then east again on Tamalpais Drive, continuing to Madera Boulevard. The parade will end at Tamalpais Drive and Madera Boulevard. Central Marin Police will close the streets starting at 10:00 a.m. for the parade. The streets will remain closed until the parade reaches its ending point at approximately 1:30 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURES: After 10:00 a.m. motorists will only be able to turn on Madera Boulevard from westbound Tamalpais Drive, or turn into the Corte Madera Town Center from the south side once the parade has started. If you wish to park in the shopping center, we recommended you take the Madera Boulevard exit from Highway 101 Southbound, or the Paradise Drive exit from 101 Northbound. Magnolia Avenue southbound traffic will be closed at Bon Air Road. Corte Madera Avenue traffic will be closed at the town limits for through traffic and at the intersection with Redwood Avenue for the parade. Traffic entering the area from Lucky Drive will have to turn onto Tamal Vista Boulevard as the road will be closed at Lucky Drive and Fifer Ave. Additionally, Pixley Avenue will be closed throughout the day. Access will be restricted to residents of Pixley and lower Redwood Avenues. It will also be used for parking for the arts and craft people in the tennis court parking area.

GLASS CONTAINERS & ALCOHOL: Glass containers are banned from Corte Madera Town Park. Alcohol being carried into the park is also limited by town ordinance. Alcohol violations associated with minors in possession, contributing, and drunkenness will be strictly enforced.

There will be a visible police presence to ensure a safe and fun Fourth of July celebration for all attendees.

See you on the Fourth!!
