June 10

Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse and Restraining Order Violation – 5700 block of Central Ave:
At 6:11 am, officers responded to an apartment for a disturbance. Officers contacted an elderly male who had several injuries. The investigation revealed the elderly male’s girlfriend, a 44-year-old female, had beaten him during an argument. The female was taken into custody. In addition, the female’s other boyfriend, a 49-year-old male from Richmond, was also in the apartment. The female had a restraining order against the 49-year-old male. The 49-year-old male was also taken into custody. Both the female and male were booked then transported to the county jail.

Drunk in Public – 10636 San Pablo Ave:
At 12:59 pm, an officer responded to the call of a male who was passed out in the backseat of a vehicle. After being cleared medically, the 50-year-old male attempted to walk on his own and was stumbling in the parking lot. It was determined the male was extremely intoxicated and could not care for himself. The male was taken into custody and transported to the county jail to sober up.

Commercial Burglary – 10636 San Pablo Ave.
At 8:58 pm, an officer reports the victim’s gym locker was forced open and the property inside was stolen.

Shoplifting – 2000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 10:12 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect selected several pieces of merchandise from the store and left without paying.

June 11

Auto Burglary – 11400 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:53 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the front passenger window to the victim’s vehicle and removed an iPhone.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave and Wall Ave:
At 5:12 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 39-year-old male, for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked then transported to the county jail.
June 12

Petty Theft – 3400 block of Belmont Ave:
At 1:27 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect took a package off the victim’s porch.

Misappropriation of Lost Property – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 4:11 pm, an officer reports the citizen’s arrest of a 63-year-old female from Richmond. The female located the victim’s wallet and instead of turning it in, the female demand money for the property. Additionally, the female suspect said if she did not get money she would use the victim’s personal identifying information. The female was met by officers and arrested.

Restraining Order Violation – 5500 block of Central Ave:
At 8:13 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 44-year-old woman who returned to the apartment of her ex-boyfriend in violation of a restraining order. The woman was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance – Arlington Blvd / Terrace Dr:
At 12:12 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 31-year-old man who had a warrant for his arrest. The man was also in possession of methamphetamine and was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto Burglary – 10636 San Pablo Ave:
At 3:37 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the driver side window to the victim’s vehicle and removed electronics.

Vandalism – 10636 San Pablo Ave:
At 4:09 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect used a tool to break the window to a vehicle parked in the parking lot.

June 13

Grand Theft – 3300 block of Belmont Ave:
At 7:31 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed all four tires and rims from the victim’s vehicle and left it on cement blocks. The crime occurred during the night of the 13th.

Shoplifting – 11060 San Pablo Ave:
At 6:24 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 47-year-old male who was placed under citizen’s arrest for shoplifting. The man was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department and later released with a promise to appear.

Drunk in Public – 2000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 6:51 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 37-year-old male who was found heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

June 14th

Robbery – 11450 San Pablo Avenue (Safeway):
An officer was patrolling in the Safeway parking lot when they were flagged down by a security guard who reported that they were following a suspect from a theft that occurred at the store. The suspect was detained and after an investigation the officer determined that the suspect had committed a robbery. The suspect was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

June 15th

Burglary/ Petty Theft- 10264 San Pablo Ave (El Mono):
An officer responded to investigate the theft of license plates from a vehicle in the parking lot and a burglary to the business. When the officer reviewed video surveillance footage from the business, he was able to identify a transient from SF as the suspect.

June 16th

Attempted Grand Theft- 2500 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 5:20 am, the resident exited their house and saw a vehicle speeding away. Upon closer inspection, the resident saw blocks and a car jack left behind by the suspects. Fortunately, the suspects were scared off before they were able to steal the wheels from the vehicle.

June 17th

Warrant x2 – San Pablo Avenue at Central Avenue:
An officer conducted a pedestrian stop and found the subject had two outstanding warrants from the El Cerrito PD. The subject was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
