Synopsis: A 28 year old male was driving a 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup southbound along 36th Street. A 17 year old male on a BMX style bicycle was traveling eastbound on Landis Street. The 17 year old had no lights on the bike along with no brakes. He collided into the passenger side door of the pickup truck. The 17 year old was transported to the hospital with a fractured left femur, his injuries are not life threatening. DUI was not a factor. The San Diego Police Traffic Division responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation.
