Trial starts today for Cal City man facing double murder charges from 2018 
The trial against Desmond Perry starts this week. Perry faces charges in connection with the double homicide that occurred on July 22, 2018 in California City. Perry allegedly grabbed a rifle and shot several times into a home on Lupine Loop Drive. Two victims, 39-year-old Michael Wiggins and 12 year-old Trinity Wiggins were fatally shot and killed. Perry was arrested about a week later in Los Angeles County. His charges include (2) two counts of homicide and (1) one count of shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
