Flash Flood Watch until 06:00AM Wednesday
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Northeast Maryland, Delaware, central and southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.
* Through late tonight
* Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected today into this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing torrential downpours, and the storms may have a tendency to move over the same areas. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches may occur in a short amount of time. This could lead to localized flash flooding.
* The risk of flash flooding is highest with storms that produce excessive rainfall rates for an extended period of time. Flooding is most likely in more urbanized areas, in areas of poor drainage, and in locations that have received heavy rainfall the past few days. Rapid rises on small creeks and streams are possible.

Instructions:
A Flash Flood Watch means that there is the potential for flash flooding, which can be life-threatening. Heavy rain is expected to occur over a short period of time. Rapidly rising flood waters may quickly inundate some roadways. Streams and creeks could leave their banks, flooding nearby properties. Please monitor the forecast, especially if you live in a location that is prone to flooding. Be prepared to take action if a flash flood warning is issued for your area.
