* Until 730 PM MDT.
* At 629 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Nara Visa to Ute Lake State Park, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include... Logan, San Jon, Nara Visa, Glenrio, Ute Lake State Park and Bard. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 344 and 373.
* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY, NM ... HARDING, NM
Instructions:
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lighting is one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
