The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of June 09 through June 15, 2019.        
 
June 09, 2019

• A Grand Theft Auto was reported in the 2600 block of Fernley Dr.  Between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., persons unknown stole a 1998 Honda Civic. The vehicle was recovered by El Monte PD on 06-11-19 with a suspect in custody.    

• Narcotics Arrest:  At approximately 5 a.m., deputies initiated a traffic at Central Ave. and Highland Ave., of an adult male bicyclist regarding a vehicle code infraction.  During the investigation, the male was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested.  The suspect was a resident of La Puente.         

• No significant activity.      

• A Grand Theft Auto was reported in the 2600 block of Conata St.  Between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., persons unknown stole a 1995 Honda Accord. The vehicle was recovered on 06-13-19 in the 2100 block of Maynard Dr. No suspect in custody. 

• A Vehicle Burglary was reported in the 800 block of Cinnamon Ln. Between midnight and 7 a.m., persons unknown entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the stereo and subwoofer. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.

• A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Dr. (Target).  Store security observed an adult female concealing several clothing items, then walking out without paying. Upon further investigation by responding deputies, the female was arrested for petty theft. The $150 in clothing was returned to the store. The female was a resident of El Monte.

• Narcotics Arrest:  At approximately 9:40 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop of an adult male bicyclist at Las Lomas Rd. and Huntington Dr. regarding a vehicle code infraction. Prior to conducting a pat down search, the male admitted to being in possession of drugs. After further investigation, the male was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested. The suspect stated he was homeless.
