Santa Maria Police Detectives investigating shooting. 
On Saturday, 6/15/19, at approximately 2200 hours SMPD Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Mary for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and were able to substantiate a shooting had occurred. At the same time, a victim showed up at Marian Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. SMPD Detectives were brought in to conduct the investigation. Detectives were able to verify that the victim at the hospital was the same victim from the shooting on North Mary. At this time the victim is listed in stable condition. This shooting appears to be gang related.
