Flash Flood Watch until 08:00AM Sunday
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has expanded the
* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and Ohio, including the following areas, in Southeast Indiana, Ohio and Switzerland. In Northern Kentucky, Boone, Campbell, and Kenton. In Ohio, Brown, Clermont, Highland, and Ross.
* Until 8 AM EDT Sunday.
* Showers and embedded thunderstorms will occur through the night. Some of this could repeatedly move across the same area which may result in high rainfall amounts and thus potentially lead to flash flooding.
* Street flooding and runoff will cause area rivers and streams to rise, resulting in the potential for some river flooding as well.
* AFFECTED AREAS: HIGHLAND ... CLERMONT ... ROSS ... KENTON ... BROWN ... SWITZERLAND ... BOONE ... OHIO ... CAMPBELL
Instructions:
People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
