Synopsis: A 23 year old male was driving his 2004 Toyota Prius at a high rate of speed eastbound Market St approaching 7th Ave. He attempted to make a left turn onto northbound 7th Ave, struck the east curb and overturned. A 24 year old male sitting in the front passenger seat was ejected. The passenger sustained life threatening injuries including a crushed pelvis and internal bleeding. The driver sustained a laceration to his forehead and is suspected of DUI. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
