Today, June 13th, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Jackson Police arrest Imario Wright for two outstanding warrants through the City of Jackson and also for a warrant issued through Madison County. Officers patrolling the downtown observed Imario walking in the area of 111 E. Main Street when they attempted to take him into custody. Imario attempted to evade apprehension by fighting and running. Jackson Police were able to arrest Imario only after deploying a department issued Taser.
At the time of his apprehension, Imario was in possession of a stolen pistol, from another jurisdiction, and a felony amount of marijuana. Imario will be arraigned in Jackson City Court the next business day.
