Detectives arrest a registered sex offender for failure to register

INCIDENT: PC290- Failure to Register as a Sex Offender
LOCATION: 8200 block of Vineyard Avenue
SUSPECT: Tracy Leffall, 56-years-old, resident of Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY:
Tracy Leffall was previously convicted of a sex crime. As a result of that conviction, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
Leffall last registered in August of 2018 as living in Ontario, CA. Investigators learned that he moved from the residence in Ontario and was now living at a residence in the 8200 block of Vineyard Ave. in Rancho Cucamonga. Leffall never registered with Rancho Cucamonga Police Department as living at this address.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, Detectives located Leffall in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, he was placed under arrest for PC290. Detectives served a search warrant at his residence and located evidence to establish his residency. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Leffall will be arraigned in Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on June 14, 2019.
