Planned PG&E Power Outage Will Be Impacting Traffic Signals Tomorrow at Intersection of Petaluma Blvd N and Payran St
On Friday, June 14, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) will be conducting a planned power outage affecting the area of Petaluma Blvd. N. and Payran St. The purpose of this planned outage is to enable PG&E employees to safely perform work on equipment in the area. PG&E customers in the affected area should have already received advanced notification of this outage.
This outage will additionally affect the traffic control signals at the intersection of Petaluma Blvd. N. and Payran St. Steps are being taken to ensure that traffic control measures are put in place to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the area during this outage. We are communicating with PG&E to ensure that services are restored as soon as possible to minimize the impact on the community.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists that in the event you approach and uncontrolled intersection where the traffic lights are not on the vehicle code states you are to stop and treat the intersection as a four-way stop. Motorists should use extra caution during these situations and proceed when safe.
Motorists may encounter increased traffic in this area as a result of this planned outage and may want to take alternative routes.
