On Thursday, July 4th, the Celebration of Freedom will be held at Central Winds Park located at 1000 Central Winds Drive. Enter the parking area from State Road 434 and Central Winds Drive. Gates open at 5:00 pm. There will be entertainment throughout the evening. Fireworks will start at 9:10 pm. For your comfort and safety the following items are prohibited in the park:
- Fireworks and sparklers.
- Pop up tents and shades.
- BBQs or cooking devices.
- Pets (with the exception of service animals).
- Glass items or containers.
- No outside alcohol of any kind.
- Coolers larger than 6 pack size. The same templates will be used again as years passed.
***All bags and coolers will be searched prior to entry***
Shuttle buses will be available at Trotwood Park (701 Northern Way) and at Winter Springs Elementary (701 W. State Road 434) Shuttle busing will start at 6:00 pm. Items prohibited at the park will not be allowed on the buses.
Starting at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 3rd, Orange Avenue will be closed at the entrance to Central Winds Park. Likewise, Central Winds Parkway will be closed at Hicks Avenue. These roadways will reopen after the event. In the hours leading up to and during the event, N. Tuskawilla Road north of Fanning Drive will be open to local traffic only.
