Excessive Heat Warning until 09:00PM Tuesday

The National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM to 9 PM PDT Tuesday. An Excessive Heat Warning also remains in effect until 9 PM PDT this evening.

* TEMPERATURE...Record or near record heat with widespread high temperatures from 100 to 105.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke will be possible. People most vulnerable include those who are spending considerable time outdoors...those who do not have air conditioning...young children...the elderly...and those with chronic ailments.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST BAY INTERIOR VALLEYS

Instructions:

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. Hot temperatures will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned room...stay out of the sun...and check up on relatives and neighbors.
