Heat Advisory & Spare the Air Day Today 
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 9pm this evening as temperatures in the east bay could reach as high as 105 degrees today.
If you're going to be outside today, please be sure to stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks, and try to limit strenuous exercise. Dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke can be very dangerous.
Additionally, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has slated today as a Spare the Air Day. The heat, coupled with little air movement, has led to air quality levels being low. On a Spare the Air Day, limit use of gas-powered devices and refrain from any outdoor burning. Poor air quality days are very challenging for the young, elderly, and those with respiratory ailments.
