1 INJURED IN CRASH

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 6/9/19 at 4:45 am his office investigated a personal injury crash that occurred on Savage Rd. near Born St., Newburg Township, Cass County Michigan. 51 yr old Three Rivers resident, Misty Barnes, was North Bound on Savage when a deer ran out in front of her. She swerved to avoid the deer, lost control, went off the roadway and struck a tree. Ms. Barnes was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment. It is believed that seat belts were used and that alcohol is not a factor. This crash remains under investigation.
Assisting were SEPSA ambulance service, Newburg Ambulance service and Newburg Fire Department. Newburg Fire Department remained vigilant and located this crash while en route to another personal injury crash.
