Madison Street Park grand opening
Mayor Ravi Bhalla invites all members of the community to the grand opening for the new Madison Street Park (3rd and Madison Streets) at 9:30 am on Saturday. The park features new playground equipment for children of different ages, a spray feature, new safety surface, and more.
Hoboken Green Fair
The 8th Annual Green Fair will be held from 11am to 3pm at Church Square Park on Saturday, entering from the corner of Fourth Street and Garden Street, and will feature live music and organic food vendors. It is intended to introduce sustainable lifestyle choices to the community, raise awareness regarding environmental issues, and demonstrate how consumers can reduce their impact on the earth by selecting sustainable, eco-friendly products and services.
Hoboken Library Festival
The Hoboken Library is celebrating literacy and community at their festival on Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm (next to the Hoboken Green Fair). The festival features Raakhee Mirchandani, author of “Super Satya Saves the Day,” the Pop Ups, and more. For more information, visit www.hobokenlibrary.org.
Southwest Park Concert in the Park
The Joe Taino group, a blend of roots Americana and Caribbean influenced music, will be performing at the Southwest Park (38 Harrison Street) from 6 – 8 pm on Sunday.
