ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Taylor was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On June 6th, 2019 at approximately 7:15am, members of the Amsterdam Police Department Detective Bureau assisted members of New York State Parole with attempting to locate Shayzon Taylor at 47 Milton Avenue in the City of Amsterdam. NYS parole had received information that Taylor, who is currently on parole, had moved from his previous address on Cleveland Ave without notifying parole. Amsterdam Police Detectives along with the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team had conducted a two month long investigation into the sales of crack cocaine by Taylor. Taylor was located on the front porch of the Milton Avenue apartment where he was taken into custody by law enforcement personnel. Inside of the apartment, members of NYS Parole located a quantity of cocaine and several Klonopin pills. Taylor was transported to Amsterdam Police HQ’s where he was processed on the above charges before being arraigned in Amsterdam City Court by Judge William Mycek. Taylor was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail without bail. Montgomery County District Attorney Kelli McCoski also assisted in the investigation.
