* Until 645 PM CDT.
* At 551 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles northwest of Fieldton to 4 miles west of
Anton to 4 miles northeast of Locketville, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Lubbock, Levelland, Littlefield, Abernathy, Hale Center, Olton,
Wolfforth, Shallowater, Anton, Cotton Center, Fieldton, Spade,
Lubbock South Plains Mall, Locketville, Halfway, Slide, Woodrow,
Reese Center, Texas Tech University and Lubbock International
Airport.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
A strong outflow boundary has pushed out ahead of the actual
thunderstorms resulting in a large area of blowing dust that is
reducing visibility to near zero. Strong cross winds will develop on
any north-south oriented roads and damaging wind gusts may occur
along the leading edge of the gust front. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
