West Nueces River At Brackettville Affecting Kinney and Uvalde Counties Nueces River Below Uvalde Affecting Uvalde County The flood warning continues for the West Nueces River At Brackettville.

* At 2:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 19.3 feet.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 21.1 feet by late Tuesday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Tuesday tonight.

* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Major lowland flooding four hundred yards wide cuts off livestock and equipment in the flood plain. Flow is to the entrance platform of the gauge house. Many secondary and primary roads downstream are impassable.

* AFFECTED AREAS: UVALDE, TX ... KINNEY, TX

Do not drive automobiles through flooded areas. Remember, 18 inches of water or less can carry away most vehicles, including trucks.
