LOCATION OCCURRED:  Residence located in Dutch Neck Estates

DETAILS:  Ptl. Nagy was detailed to a residence in the Dutch Neck Estates development for a burglary. Investigation determined the following: During the overnight hours, someone entered into the home through an unlocked window at the back of the house. A wallet left on the kitchen counter and a purse left in the dining room were stolen from the residence.

DETAILS:  Ptl. McQuade investigated a Theft by Deception where the following was reported: On 5/13/19, the elderly victim received a phone call from someone who was crying and claimed to be her grandson. Another person then got on the line and told her that her grandson was in jail and needed $9,500.00 in cash to be released. Later that day a black male with a beard appeared at the door to her apartment and took possession of the money. The next day she received another call asking her to send an additional $3,000.00 in cash to an address in Philadelphia, PA which she sent the same day. On 5/15/19, she received yet another call from the same person, but when she told the caller she was going to put her friend on the line to speak with him, the caller immediately hung up.

INCIDENT:  2019-13464  Theft, Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, & Credit Card Theft
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  5/18/19 between 3:45 PM & 4:00 PM
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Whole Foods, 3495 U.S. Route 1
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. D. Fiore #5105      
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Fiore investigated the theft of a wallet where the following was determined: While the victim was shopping at Whole Foods she had her purse in the child seat portion of the shopping cart she was using. After being in the store for about 20 minutes, she began to receive fraud alerts on her phone from her credit card companies. When she checked her purse, she realized that her wallet had been stolen. Purchases with the stolen credit cards were attempted at Best Buy and Target in Nassau Park, but all were declined. The suspects using the stolen credit cards were described as two Hispanic males in theirs 30’s or 40’s who wore hats and sunglasses.

DETAILS:  Sgt. Lai was detailed to a shoplifting that had just occurred at the Party City store. Investigation revealed the following: A black male suspect in his mid-20’s wearing a visor style hat, entered the store carrying two empty totes. After being in the store for some time, he was observed leaving the store with a large box containing a balloon arch, and his once empty totes were now filled. The store manager confronted the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect abandoned the balloon arch and then got into the passenger side of a blue Chrysler Pacifica. The store manager used his cell phone to record the suspect who then threw a cup containing an unknown liquid at him before the vehicle sped away.

Arrested: Sharon K. Davis, Black female, 62 years old
                Resident of East Windsor, NJ 08520
 
OFFICER: Ptl. D. Fiore #5105               
 
DETAILS: Ptl. Fiore was detailed to the Princeton Junction Train Station for a suspicious person. A witness reported seeing Sharon Davis lying on the ground behind a car in the parking lot. He later saw her inside the same vehicle rummaging through the glove box and looking through the property inside. He became especially concerned when it appeared to him that she was impaired and might drive away. Investigation confirmed that Davis had entered the vehicle in question, but did not own the vehicle nor have permission from its owner to be inside. Davis was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on a white Buick sedan for an unsafe lane change. During the stop, Jonathan Murillo was found to have an active warrant for his arrest from East Windsor. Murillo was processed at WWPD Headquarters and turned over to the East Windsor Police Department.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the Princeton Terrace apartments for a large group fighting outside. Investigation determined the following: Neighbors residing at the Princeton Terrace, and friends and family of the involved neighbors, were engaged in an argument over on-going personal issues. The argument became heated and a fight broke out. Marquasia Scott was identified as one of four aggressors who punched, kicked, and then used hot pepper spray on the three victims. Scott and the three suspects had left the scene prior to police arrival. Scott was charged with the above offenses and has a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. C. Crawford observed a white Jeep SUV stopped on the side of Clarksville Rd. partially blocking the lane of travel. While investigating why the vehicle was stopped, it was determined that the driver, Karthik Reddy, was DWI. Reddy was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Van Ness was detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifter being detained by Asset Protection. Investigation determined the following: George Holzman was observed selecting merchandise, putting the items into his shopping cart, and then placing the items into reusable shopping bags while in unoccupied aisles. He did this repeatedly, then walked straight through the self-checkout without paying for any of the over $338 worth of food and merchandise. Holzman was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.
