Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is a drug abuse prevention education program designed to equip elementary school children with knowledge about drug abuse, the consequences of drug abuse and skills for resisting peer pressure to experiment with drugs, alcohol and tobacco. SCPD teaches D.A.R.E. to 5th graders at 17 public and private schools.
This was also Dr. Rose's last D.A.R.E. graduation after serving Santa Clara Unified School District as Superintendent for 6 years. All the best in your retirement Dr. Rose!
