The NJ Department of Agriculture wants everyone to be on the lookout for the spotted lanternfly – an invasive insect that feeds on fruit and wood trees and threatens numerous agricultural industries – that has made its first appearance in Burlington County, New Jersey.
Spotted Lantern Flies have been confirmed at the Palmyra Cove Nature Area and surrounding properties. If you have sighting, email a photo and location to Department of Agriculture at slf-plantindustry.ag.nj.gov or call 1-833-223-2840.
