Synopsis: A 22 year old Hispanic male was walking in the 5300 block of Lea St. An unknown Hispanic male approached the victim. A brief conversation ensued. The suspect produced a handgun and fired four times at the victim. The victim was struck three times. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown red sedan E/B on Lea St. The victim was transported to an area hospital by an acquaintance. The victim sustained three non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" tall and thin build. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded jacket and dark hat. SDPD Gang detectives responded to the scene and will be conducting the investigation.
