Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this evening between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Scattered damaging winds will be the main threat from the storms, with the strongest storms producing wind gusts over 50 miles per hour.
Some isolated hail is possible along with an isolated tornado potential in the broader region. Storms could produce heavy downpours which could cause poor drainage flooding issues, particularly with rush hour timing. Frequent lighting is expected with the evening storms.
