                Deputy David Jones of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Jeremy Michael Dean Guffey, 35, address listed as Bakersville, with possession of methamphetamine and Joshua Ray Harris, 34, address listed as South Creek Road in Nebo, with possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine.
                At 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, Jones was patrolling on Peppers Creek Road and noticed a man standing on the side of the road.
                The deputy identified the male at Guffey, and a subsequent search of his person turned up 6 grams of methamphetamine.
                Guffey told Jones he got his truck stuck in the woods. Harris came from the woods and said he had been helping Guffey. A subsequent search of Harris revealed 2 grams of methamphetamine.
